The world of Lineage II is a war-torn land spanning two continents, where trust and betrayal clash as three kingdoms vie for power. The young king Raoul has successfully quenched a civil war and established the newest kingdom, Aden. Elmore, the military superpower located in the northern part of the continent, boasts that it is a direct descendent of ancient Elmoreden kingdom. Gracia, located across the ocean on the west, is currently embroiled in a chaotic battle among blood relatives trying to take over the throne. These kingdoms share a delicate balance of power; however, within each kingdom they are vulnerable to internal strife, as each manor has strong desire for self-rule.
Aden and Elmore
When we describe the history of Aden, one cannot help but to discuss the religion and races within Aden and Elmore. The history of Aden is not just a chronicle of time, but a story of how the gods and godlings rose and fell, how the races fought for supremacy, and how, from the lowliest of races, humans became the mightiest.
Gracia
Gracia is located far across the sea from Aden, its land is barren and its climate is rough. Its people are strong and hardy, ruled by King Keucereus. In recent years, strange Seeds appeared throughout the continent, spawning Pagan Monsters who wreaked havoc on the land. The people were outmatched, and Gracia fell under the sway of great evil.
Survivors fled to Aden to ask for help, and have been recruiting people to assist in the battle to reclaim the country. Using ancient Giant technology and the finest engineers in Aden, an airship wharf ferries to and from Gracia.
Gludin Village
Gludin Village is a harbor town located on the western coast of Aden (Country). This small coastal village lacks any fortress and is claimed by Gludio as a territory. It is often a stop for young adventurers bound from Talking Island, an island across the sea to the south.
Floran Village
This village is located at a bend of the road from Dion territory to Giran Harbor. It is a small country village and has common houses and windmills, etc. The head of the village has launched a large farmland development project, and ex-convicts and foreigners have been hired. Many law-breakers keep coming to this small and quiet farm village.
Talking Island Village
This island is where ancient elves taught magic to humans. The name Talking Island originates from the confusion when the barbarous humans believed magically amplified voices was the island's talking.
Hunter's Village
Hunter's Village is a small mountain-side village located east of Oren and south of Aden. It falls under the purview of the Aden Castle manor. It is the home of the Hunter's Guild, as well as a good portion of the Coin Collectors found in Elmoreden.
Elven Village
Since the beginning of the world, the Elves have lived in this place harmonizing in the forest under the protection of Mother Tree. It is known as the originating place of Elves. For their long history, the 12 Hierarchs of Elf race built a strong barrier around the forest to prevent other races' approach. But the society has become more open these days, and the power of the barrier has weakened.
Orc Village
Noble Orcs who lost the supremacy in the continent to the Elves settle in the Immortal Plateau. In the center of the last Orc kingdom that they built, there is a village that was made by the Dwarves they captured and high and strong outer castle walls around the village. It feels like a military fortress rather than a residential place.
Dwarven Village
It is hidden deep within the mountain ranges of Elmore, and its appearance displays the dwarves' devotion to their work and stubbornness in etching out an existence in its snowy climate. Dwarves worship Maphr, goddess of earth, and thier Sanctuary of Maphr has a very plain and simple appearance.
Dark Elven Village
Situated in the Western reaches of the Oren territory, the village of Dark Elves is located in a huge cave beneath the Misty Mountain. It was built as Dark Elves settled in the deep Misty Mountains, weakened against the sunlight due to the curse cast by their formerly fellow Tree Elves.
Kamael Village
Kamael Village is a haven located way to the west of the Dark Elf Village. After a long period of isolation, the Kamael have recently appeared on the continent under the guidance of the Gods, in order to help the other races with fighting Shilen's minions.
Rune
Rune Township, the capital of Elmore, stands tall on a rocky peninsula, overlooking its harbor, and further out the foreboding Primeval Isle. It has long been a strategic confluence of politics, economics, and the military for the northern region of the continent. To its immediate east, separated by only a small river lies the Forest of the Dead.
Aden
The Tower of Aden is built within the large outer walls of Aden Castle; the scale and splendor of the incomparable town of Aden matches its position as the capital city of the kingdom.
Giran
Giran Castle Town is the commercial center of the world. It has accumulated tremendous wealth through the harbor of Giran, where the trading ships are always active.
Oren
Oren territory is located to the north from Giran Territory. Several hundred years ago many warriors settled there, and the strongest warrior guild was founded. People say that those who had spoken to the inhabitants of the territory, were astonished by their discipline and strictness.
Goddard
Centre of Elmore's military activities. Long time ago Goddard was built by orcs as a defence keep, now ruled by Humans.
Strong military presence in the region is required not only because nearby border outposts but also due to ongoing war between the Varka Silenos and the Ketra Orc Tribes.
Dion
Dion was once a very prosperous territory. The wheat harvested from the wide plain of Dion was the primary source of wealth, until there was a war over possession of the plain. Taxes soared and rebellions followed, leaving Dion one of the poorest territories in the kingdom
Gludio
Located at the northwestern fringe of the continent. Long ago the territory flourished due to trade and expansive agricultural lands, but since the continent has stopped trading and the lands have been devastated with powerful magic, the territory lost its importance. However, there are still ancient relics there, and the mysterious lenegs of lore attract many travellers.
Heine
With its Elven heritage, spectacular fountains and unmatched romantic feeling, there's no questioning why adventurers from all over the world come here in the masses.
Schuttgart
Another keep built by Orcs. This area was once a very important transportation hub that connected Dwarven and Orc villages. Nowadays vile and unlawful brigands infest the area.
